The time is finally upon us and we are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new, state-of-the-art gym facility.
Gone are the days of viewing exercise as a punishment. Here at The Palm River Hotel, we recognise it for the privilege it is. Moving one’s body is a joy, especially when you’re doing it surrounded by nature, a stone’s throw from the iconic Victoria Falls.
Down To The Details
The new gym is positioned next to our hotel’s on-site walking/running track, affording guests privacy while they break a sweat. If you’d like to include some outdoor cardio in your holiday workout, this track meanders through natural bushveld on the hotel’s safe grounds, ideal for a warm up or cool down lap.
Looks-wise, the gym’s architecture is open and airy with a fresh, natural feel – integrating seamlessly with the hotel’s overall aesthetic. Note the floor to ceiling palm tree wallpaper designed by local artist, Nicole Sanderson, which lends a polished look to the space whilst drawing the outside world indoors.
High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the interior with natural light and allow for plenty of ventilation – even on those sweltering summer days. There is also a wrap-around veranda that leads into the gym and guests are welcome to shift the equipment outdoors to enjoy the fresh air.
No matter your workout preference, we’ve got you covered. Options include a 3-station multi-gym weights machine, an elliptical trainer, stationary bikes, rowing machines, yoga equipment, free weights and more…
