Breakfast Cruise

Enjoy freshly brewed coffee and a continental breakfast while drifting up the Zambezi River towards Kandahar Island while soaking in the sounds of the diverse birdlife and the African bush as they come to life in the early morning. Birdwatching Cruise

Wake up with the wilderness of the Zambezi River on an early morning Birdwatching Cruise. The Victoria Falls National Park is home to over 450 species of birdlife. Rare birds such as the African Pitta and the Narina Trogon have been sighted along the river during birdwatching cruises. Keen bird lovers will delight in marking off their sightings in the birding booklet provided on board while a delicious continental breakfast including fruit platters, fresh pastries and a variety of cheeses and biscuits is served. Our crew of knowledgeable and friendly guides are always on the lookout to help identify bird varieties.

Lunch Cruise

Sunset Cruise

Experience a dazzling African sunset from the comfort of a calming river cruise. The Ra-Ikane Sunset cruise offers a unique way to explore the channels of the Zambezi River for an up-close view of the wilderness and wildlife along its banks. This popular cruise includes an array of light canapes with a full bar open for the duration of the cruise. A perfect way to spend your afternoon before docking at the jetty in front of the Palm River Hotel.

The well-appointed Ra-Ikane fleet was built to ensure that each guest is able to experience the wild beauty of the Zambezi River in comfort and style. The monohull design of the riverboats enables them to navigate further up the Zambezi River, through shallow river channels and closer to the wildlife on the river banks.

The cruises follow a circular route around the Zambezi River islands to provide guests with a panoramic view of the upper Zambezi River and the wildlife and birdlife it offers. Each Ra-Ikane boat has its own crew, made up of a friendly and knowledgeable captain, guide and waiter to ensure a tranquil and memorable experience on board.

Tour of Victoria Falls

Some of the best viewpoints along the tour include the Devil’s Cataract at 70 metres deep and where you will see the famous David Livingstone statue, the Main Falls viewing point is hard to beat, with its expansive sheet of water thundering down 93 metres into the gorge below while Rainbow Falls is the deepest of them all, at 108 metres deep, and has been suitably named due to its ever-present rainbow.
