Things to do at the Palm River Hotel
A 34m infinity pool in the foreground of the main area merges with the horizon and offers a cool oasis under the shade of towering trees. Cleverly separated into sections, the pool includes a 24m lap pool, a shallow splash pool ideal for children and a refreshing infinity pool on the lower section.
Ra-Ikane River Cruises
The luxury Ra-Ikane River Cruise on our historic and intimate cruise boats offers Breakfast, Birdwatching, Lunch and Sunset cruises on the Zambezi River, a service exclusive to the Palm River Hotel and Ilala Lodge Hotel. The cruises follow a circular route around the Zambezi River islands to provide guests with a panoramic view of the upper and lower Zambezi River and the wildlife and birdlife it offers. Set under a canopy of trees in front of the hotel’s Restaurant in the Main Area, the outdoor bar serves a selection of local and imported beverages, wines, cocktails, speciality coffees and fresh fruit juices, available daily from 10 am to 10 pm. The refreshing and airy dining spaces are complimented by sweeping garden views framed by cobbled pathways leading directly down to the Zambezi River beyond. The Palm River Hotel restaurant also offers in-room dining as well as private dining experiences.
Delight in a fully-immersive dining experience on the tranquil and serene banks of the Zambezi River, sheltered under a twinkling canopy of stars. The riverside dining experience offers an authentic African barbecue-style dinner surrounded by the wilderness of the Zambezi National Park. 1. WHERE CAN I GET A PCR TEST?
The Palm River Hotel facilitates fast and reliable in-house PCR testing available for all in-house guests who require PCR tests for onward travel. The service includes same-day results for tests completed before 12h00. Onsite PCR testing costs US$ 70* per person. Guests may also visit Lancet Laboratories directly and pay US$60* per person.
2. DO YOU OFFER AIRPORT TRANSFERS TO PALM RIVER HOTEL?
Pick up and drop off to Victoria Falls Airport – US$17 per person each way (approximately 30 minutes drive)
Pick up and drop off to Livingstone Airport (Zambia) – US$40 per person each way (approximately 1 hour)
Pick up and drop off to Kasane Airport (Botswana) – US$68 per person each way (approximately 1.5 – 2 hours). When booking airport transfers it is important to share flight details ahead of arrival.
3. HOW FAR IS PALM RIVER HOTEL FROM THE VICTORIA FALLS?
It is a gentle 8 – 10 minute drive from the hotel. We offer a complimentary shuttle bus which runs on a schedule throughout the day transporting guests between the Palm River Hotel and Victoria Falls Town centre. The shuttle stops at key landmarks for guests’ convenience including the Victoria Falls Rainforest, Ilala Lodge Hotel and the various craft markets along the route.
