Introducing Our New Dinner Menu

We are delighted to bring to you a full refresh of the Palm River Hotel restaurant dinner menu.

As part of this revamp, our dedicated kitchen brigade has been paying close attention to guest feedback and have enhanced our most-loved dishes accordingly. Regulars will notice a few new additions, thoughtfully created by our chefs who are constantly looking for exciting, flavourful ways to communicate Zimbabwe’s culinary bounty with you.

From delicious starters to mouth-watering desserts, there’s something to suit every palate at our hotel. Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect from a night out at one of the best restaurants in Victoria Falls.

Setting the tone

Your culinary journey begins when you enter our hotel’s grand dining hall. With vaulted ceilings that draw the eye upwards, the scene is set with gorgeous decor that promises elegance without compromising on comfort. Architectural fundis will note our nod to the Queenslander when it comes to the design of both our interior and exterior spaces.

The large sliding doors that open onto a riverfront verandah remind you of where you are: On the edge of the Zambezi River and just upstream of the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

Should you decide to dine al fresco (especially on balmy nights when you’re called to enjoy a lilting breeze off the Zambezi), you will be delighted by the seamless way in which the high roofing blends into the canopy of trees that shelter criss-crossing walkways on our lawn, all the way to the river’s edge.

In a word: Magnificent

Time to order

Through our food we try to capture the spirit of The Palm River Hotel: Elegant in its simplicity, bold in its vision, but comforting in its execution and most importantly, vibrant with all the colours of our beautiful Zimbabwe.

We’ve pulled a few new dishes from each course to whet your appetite and share with you below. View our full new dinner menu here.

Look out for traditional Zimbabwean ingredients like baobab powder, Mahacha Nut and Marula when perusing our menu.

It’s also worth noting that many of the fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs you’ll enjoy with us are picked from our very own garden – a harvest we gladly share with you.

On a parting note…

Our restaurant is open to guests and day visitors alike. Our dream was to combine our tranquil setting with food that focuses all the senses and draws you to the immediacy of your surroundings.

We hope you’ll enjoy our elevated offerings as much as we enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, creating them. It’s not every day that you’re sitting beside the Zambezi. We hope you can capitalise on the beauty of the moment with us.
