The experienced hospitality company,  the Ilala Lodge Hotel Group, is proud to announce that they are developing a new luxury hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe called the Palm River Hotel. The group own Ilala Lodge Hotel, one of the top hotels in Victoria Falls, and the Ra-Ikane, a luxury river cruise company.

Jim Brown, the CEO of the Ilala Lodge Hotel Group said,” Given the continued growth of Victoria Falls as one of the premier destinations in Africa, we feel that there is room in the market to offer another high-quality, luxury hotel for the discerning traveller.” The new hotel will be built in the Queenslander architectural style, making it completely unique to any other hotel in Victoria Falls. Its enviable location right on the riverbanks of the Zambezi River will offer guests idyllic views and a relaxed ambience. The Palm River Hotel is set to open in May 2020.

Groundbreaking ceremony Palm River Hotel

Groundbreaking Ceremony

On the 15th January, the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Palm River Hotel was held in Victoria Falls.

“Such expansion allows for the increased accommodation of various tourist activities which translates into an increase of our tourist arrival space,” said the Honourable Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Matabeleland North Province, Honourable CDE. Richard Moyo, “This project will also create a number of job opportunities for our people in the resort town of Victoria Falls and other supporting industries like the transport sector, arts and music industry.”
